A Quintessential Day In Regina

November 2nd, 2020 by

We know what you’re thinking. The perfect day in Regina doesn’t exi…..we’ll stop you right there. We’ve rounded up a list of activities that pretty much epitomizes a jam-packed day of fun in our Queen City, Regina, SK.

Wakey Wakey

Picture this: It’s a crisp November morning. You’ve just assembled the perfect fall outfit complete with your chunky knit sweater and fall booties and you’re getting ready to leave for brunch. Cue Skye Cafe and Bistro. With a too good to be true weekend brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am-2:30 pm, you are in for a serious treat.  Their menu has something for everyone, from their standard breakfast to chicken and waffles, crab cake benedicts, and even french toast. Need a morning pick me up to get you ready for the day ahead? Try a yummy latte, espresso, or opt for a dirty chai latte for the perfect mix of caffeinated meets zen.

A Joyous Occasion

Didn’t catch Joy Lab at the Science Centre the first that it was launched last year? No problem. Joy Lab 2.0 is back and it’s better than ever before! Get your masks out and get ready to experience a curated collection of beautifully designed and themed rooms. With an abundance of #instaworthy backdrops, you’ll be able to snap tons of photos that’ll seamlessly add character and colour to your feed! Along the way, you’ll get to interact with the Bubble Pit, Tornado Machine, and more! If the caffeine at Syke wasn’t a mood booster, this sure will be!

With social distancing protocols in effect, they are only allowing 40 people inside the exhibit at a time, so make sure that you make a reservation prior to going to ensure that you and your crew get to experience all the fun!

Walk It Out

It wouldn’t be a perfect fall day in Regina without checking out a true Regina masterpiece, Wascana Park. Wascana Park is centrally located and the perfect place to take a relaxing afternoon walk! Funnily enough, Wascana Park is over 9 kilometres and is also one of the largest parks in North America! Walk through the park and enjoy nature as you take in the water views as well as the picturesque view of the Legislature Building. Doing the usual loop will take you anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. Be sure to stop at the gardens in front of the Legislature to take in the fall beauty that is the orange, red, and yellow fall leaves!

Crisp & Cold

All that walking will surely leave you feeling thirsty! It’s time to head to Pile O’ Bones Brewing to enjoy a tasty and much-deserved flight of beer! Choose from over 30 of their beers, from lagers to ales and IPAs and curate your perfect flight. If you’re feeling something a bit darker, be sure to try one of their stouts! Don’t worry, there’s something here for your designated driver too! Good Spirit Kombucha is the perfect option for your driver or even someone that’s looking for a non-alcoholic beverage that’s light and highly refreshing! Now that you’re at the end of the road, this is also the perfect opportunity to reflect on and take in the jam-packed day that you just had!
