The Best Spots to Lunch in your Lincoln
Take a quick tour of the best French and Parisian inspired cafes located right here in Regina. We uncover three hidden gems to check out for your next lunch or coffee date. Hop into your Lincoln and be transported to a Parisian food and beverage paradise.
Le Macaron Decadent Desserts and Cafe
Le Macaron is a cafe located in the east end that specializes in french-style cakes and pastries. You will find everything here from yummy crepes to macarons, tarts, cupcakes, cheesecake, and more. Pair a slice of their NY style cheesecake with your favourite speciality coffee. My personal go-to is an almond milk latte. Their warm and inviting decor makes you feel at home as you catch up with old friends or new friends, ensuring your coffee date is cozy and comfortable. If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion you’re in luck because they have a vast list of cakes with flavours ranging from chocolate mousse torte to black forest torte. Try the layered cinnamon-spiced carrot cake which is perfectly executed, making it my most preferred flavour. The next time you’re out for a coffee date, be sure to check out Le Macaron. Your tastebuds won’t regret it.

The French Press Coffee and Tea Co.
The French Press is a locally-owned cafe located in the south end of the city. They have a number of handcrafted beverages, fresh-baked pastries, and locally roasted coffee beans with a European inspired menu. The French Press has been in business for over 15 years and is owned by Laurel Dupois who was brought up in a French-speaking community in Saskatchewan, which directly speaks to the French influence in their food and beverages. They have a number of hot and cold drinks. Warm up with a sweet Cinnamon Bun Mocha or cool down with a Toffee Crunch Frappe. This is a great spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Try their Greek breakfast wrap and be transported to a cafe in Mykonos, or if you’re more into lunch, choose their countryside flatbread pizza which is a definite ode to the French countryside. Nevertheless, both are incredibly delicious.
Located at 4114 Albert Street.
Cafe Francais is a french cafe and bistro that is committed to delivering exceptional french patisserie and boulangerie delights. Much like the other spots that have been mentioned, they are locally owned and use local distributors in their food and drink preparation. This niche cafe has everything from artisan French bread, pastries, cakes, specialty coffees, and teas. They have a great weekday lunch and weekend brunch. If you’re feeling particularly regal, high tea is also an option. They also have a number of tailored vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options, making their menu highly inclusive. Their sundried tomato and spinach quiche is the perfect option to pair with a dirty chai latte. This place doesn’t miss a beat, from the accessible location to the freshly baked bread and the great service. The next time you’re thinking of a cute lunch or coffee spot, think of Cafe Francais.
Located at 425 Victoria Avenue East.
